1 Introduction : How to use this document

The Gambler's Help Connect procedure manual contains explanations of concepts and functions, and step-by-step instructions for procedures. The following conventions are used:

Gambler’s Help Connect menu titles are presented in white with a khaki background:
Example …from the Operations menu select…

Names of pages (screens) and screen sections are presented in bold red text:
Example …the Case page

Gambler’s Help Connect menu items are presented in bold grey text:
Example …click My Activities.

Names of fields are presented in bold blue text:
Example …the Client Name field.

Values you might enter or select in fields are presented in bold blue text:
Example … $C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\ddl.png$ select Therapeutic Counselling in the Case Type field.

Links that you click to open a new screen or window are presented in
underlined red text:
Example …click the Case link to view the case.

Look-up fields, where you select from a list of possible values are indicated by the list icon:
Example $C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\ddl.png$ select the preferred method of contact.

Buttons you click are presented as they appear on the screen:
Example …click $C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\Saveicon.jpg$ .

Tabs on case or client pages are presented as they appear on the screen:
Example …select $C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\detailstab.png$ .

In the step-by-step instructions, where an action you carry out has an immediate result, that outcome is presented in italic text below the instruction:
Example …click $C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\searchb.jpg$ .
A list of records matching your search criteria displays.

Advisory notes or tips are indicated by an exclamation mark

Critical information is indicated by a stop sign

Links to demonstration videos are indicated by the video icon

Links to external documents are indicated by the eye icon
