Creating a practitioner family case
To create a family case:
1 From the Operations menu select New Case.
The New Case screen displays.
2 In the Clients field, use the field search to locate and select the name of the first client. If the client is not registered, create the new client record as for any other new case.
3 Choose an option:

Then
…the second client is already registered…
Select the client
…the second client is NOT registered…
Click C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\new person.png and then create a client record for the new client.
4 Complete the gambling, debt, primary issue and risk fields of the case as for the gambler (not the affected other).
5 In the Case Type field C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\ddl.png select Practitioner.
6 In the Family Therapy field C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\ddl.png select Yes.
7 Select the agency.
8 Complete the Counselling fields as for the gambler.
9 Assign status, care provider and received by values.
10 Optionally, schedule an appointment in the Activities section.
11 Click C:\Users\Bill\Documents\CMS\Captures\icons and buttons\savcloseb.jpg.

When recording activities against family therapy cases you need to make sure that all the clients are included in the activities. See Processing activities for a family therapy case if you’re not sure how to do this.
